The award particularly emphasised that we follow the principle "from sustainability strategy to sustainable business strategy" with the aim of producing socially and ecologically sustainable products affordable for everyone.
In addition, among other things, our sustainable production methods, the exclusive use of fresh weak, storm and residual wood from regional, sustainably managed forests in the region, as well as our 100% recycling of waste wood and wood waste into the production process were also acknowledged.
The German Sustainability Award honours companies that address the key challenges of sustainability with appropriate strategies and measures and achieve measurable success. The award is an initiative of the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V. (German Sustainability Award Foundation) in cooperation with the German government and various business organisations and research institutions.
